Events Overview

AccesSportAmerica has thoughtfully implemented a series of annual events to engage different constituencies – all significantly underwritten. Our annual events range from our Gala/Auction to our Mayor’s Cup Regatta, and our Run for ACCESS event.

50 in 50 – Returns Summer 2021!

Because of ongoing COVID-19 precautions we will not be gathering hundreds of supporters and volunteers together for our 2020 Mayor’s Cup Regatta on July 12th. Instead, we invite you to be part of our new 50 in 50 Challenge to raise the important funds for our programs for youth and adults living with a disability.

Choose any activity that you want and log 50 miles in 50 days. Walk, run, roll, cycle, paddle, row, kayak, swim, or whatever moves you. You could even combine a few activities. The best part? You can complete your 50 miles safely indoors at home or outdoors anywhere AND over as many – or as few – days as you want (50 days maximum) while observing suggested physical distancing guidelines.

Takes place each Spring in the Boston area. The evening includes a cocktail reception with silent auction, dinner, awards, live auction, and dancing. Learn more about the Wave Gala Auction for Access here.

Fundraise for Accessport anytime!  Challenge Yourself to do something extraordinary and raise funds.  Learn more about Challenge Yourself here.

Takes place in July each year on the Esplanade of the Charles River where Corporate and Philanthropic teams of eight, with at least one person living with a disability, compete in Hawaiian Outrigger Canoe Races. The day includes on shore activities, live music, luau and award ceremony. Learn more about the Mayor’s Cup Regatta here.

Teams of 3 or more or individuals run our half-marathon course. Every participant raises funds or gets sponsored. We structure this event so most people/teams will end about the same time. Learn more about Run for ACCESS here.

We love cycling but it’s hard to ride outside in January! Join us for our brand new fundraiser ride, Spin for ACCESS, hosted by Wellesly CycleBar. Register as a rider or donate to someone else’s ride. Learn more about Spin for ACCESS here.

We have a variety of event and programmatic sponsorships available, including single event/progam support, multi-event and multi-year support options  Please contact Kimberly Gleason, VP of Advancement at kimberly@accessportamerica.org or 978.844.8207 for more information or to customize your sponsorship package.

“As a trainer for AccesSport, I was inspired daily by the people around me – both coworkers and athletes – who taught me important life lessons about motivation, collaboration, and the importance of challenging ourselves and pushing our so-called limits to achieve truly amazing feats. AccesSport allows people of all ages and walks of life to discover themselves in new ways each and every day and, even as a trainer, I was no exception.”
