Drawing on our 25+  years of experience in adapted water and land sports,  AccesSportAmerica is now offering a new year-round program on Maui that includes Soccer and Conditioning, Hawaiian Outrigger Canoeing, and Windsurfing.  We’re building on clinics we held on Maui over the past ten years in conjunction with the County Recreation Department and Outrigger clubs.

Current Maui programs include:

• Soccer and Conditioning: held at fields on Kihei, Kuau, and Wailuku. Sessions are built on the AccesSport game systems in which every athlete is challenged to their ability and equally vital to each drill and game.
• Outrigger Canoeing:   This sport is conducted in collaboration with our friends at Na Kai Ewalu in Kahului Harbor. Our drills and adaptations are mixed with coaching from the club. Everyone is expected to paddle or is helped with paddling. We provide seating and adaptive paddles when appropriate. We can create adaptions as needed to tailor the experience for each individual participant so that everyone has the opportunity to paddle in a 6 or 12 person canoe.
• Windsurfing: Clinics usually are held in late Spring and early Summer at Kanaha Beach Park. We use many of the same set ups and adaptations that are employed in our other programs across the country.

Our programs are for all people of all ages and abilities/disabilities. When space is available, we will try to include companions or family members for a truly inclusive experience. Our priority is first to provide opportunities to people with disabilities.

All of our programs require advance registration (sorry, no drop-ins).
